The Vegetarian Festival in Thailand is starting from October 2 to October 11, 2024. In Bangkok, especially in areas with a large Chinese community like Yaowarat (Chinatown), the festival is being celebrated with vibrant street food markets where stalls are being set up selling a wide variety of plant-based dishes. Temples and shrines are holding ceremonies and parades to honor the Nine Emperor Gods, and participants, particularly those of Chinese descent, are wearing white as a symbol of purity.
