Footage taken on Oct 14, 2024 shows the Yichang-Xingshan High-Speed Railway under construction in Yichang, Hubei province, China. In the first three quarters of 2024, China Railway completed 561.2 billion yuan of fixed asset investment, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%. At present, the length of China's railways in operation has exceeded 160,000 km, including more than 46,000 km of high-speed railways.
