Thai Buddhist devotees are dressing as Thai angels and carrying a statue of Lord Buddha to mark the end of the Buddhist Lent, known as 'Awk Phansa day', at Golden Mount temple in Bangkok, Thailand, on October 18, 2024. Buddhist Lent Day is a day of religious significance for Buddhist devotees and marks the beginning of the three-month period during which all monks are expected to stay in their temples and not travel anywhere. The Buddhist Lent Day in Thailand began on July 21, 2021, and ended on October 17, 2021, when Buddhist devotees join in merit to celebrate the Lord Buddha's return to the earth.
