Man-elephant conflict in India

Indian forest officials try to chase away a herd of wild elephants who came down from forest area in search of food at Kampur village in Nagaon District of Assam , India on Nov 29 ,2024 . .Every year, elephants migrate from forests during the paddy harvest in search of food, but this time, the herds have stayed longer, damaging crops. Farmers worry that the elephants will destroy their harvest, which is crucial for their livelihood.
