The Capitol Christmas tree is seen outside the US Capitol in Washington, DC, on December 6, 2024. The 2024 tree is an 80-foot Sitka spruce from the Wrangell District Region in Alaska's Tongass National Forest. The lighting of the tree outside of the U.S. Capitol is a 60-year-long tradition that brings both Hill staffers and visitors to the District.
