Fisherman catches fish from the river

A fisherman catches fish with a Nylon China Ring Fishing net from a "Donga" or "chui nouka" boat on a beautiful afternoon in Tarangar. "Donga" and "chui nouka" are essentially the same thing, referring to a small, locally made boat constructed from tin sheets, primarily used in flood-prone areas of Bengal, India, for transportation when other routes are inundated with water; "donga" might be considered a more generic term while "chui nouka" is a more specific Bengali phrase for this type of boat. Modern fishing nets are mostly made of durable synthetic materials such as nylon and plastic, which are difficult to decompose in the natural environment. In some places, broken boats have sunk into the water, and there, aquatic plants have grown on them and turned green, in some places, boats were tied up for fishing at Tarangar, West Bengal, India on 11/12/2024.
