Docheiariou Eastern or Greek Orthodox Monastery at Mount Athos Peninsula in the Autonomous Monastic State of the Holy Mountain Agion Oros, Chalkidiki, Central Macedonia Greece on 6th October 2019 as seen from the Ferry Boat transporting pilgrims. The monastery was built in the 10th century and is dedicated to Archangels Michael and Gabriel with historical, architectural and religious importance. The monastery houses the very important for Christians icon of the Virgin ''Gorgoepikoos'' or ''She who is Quick to Hear our Prayers''. Women are not allowed to enter in Mount Athos.
