A 38-year-old man is dying in a stabbing attack at the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall subway station in Manhattan, New York, United States, on April 25, 2025. The fatal stabbing at City Hall subway station is starting when the suspect steps on the victim's shoes. On April 25, 2025, at approximately 8:37 AM, police are responding to a 911 call of a male stabbed in the vicinity of Centre Street and Chambers Street inside the Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall subway station, Manhattan, New York. Upon arrival, officers are observing a 38-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive with multiple stab wounds to the torso. EMS is responding and transporting the man to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue where he is pronounced dead. There are no arrests and the investigation is remaining ongoing. The identity of the deceased is John Sheldon. NYPD Crime Scene Unit investigators are working at the scene and collecting evidence.
