Dozens of Palestinians are waiting in front of a clinic run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, hoping to receive their share of medicine and medical supplies. UNRWA is suffering from a severe shortage of medicines, along with its inability to provide all essential medical supplies, which is worsening the suffering of patients, especially those with chronic illnesses. The agency is also facing major challenges in delivering its usual food aid—such as flour, rice, and milk—amid the escalating humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
