Edmonton Marks Red Dress Day To Honour Missing And Murdered Indigenous Women And Girls
Members of the local Indigenous community, activists, and supporters are gathering in memory of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls (MMIWG) outside the Alberta Legislature in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on May 5, 2025. Red Dress Day is being observed as an annual event initiated by the REDress Project to honor the lives of MMIWG across Canada, first observed on May 5, 2010.
