Members of the Immortal Regiment are marching as Russians are celebrating Victory Day in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on May 11, 2025. Members of the Russian community are carrying photos of family members who fought and died during the war. Victory Day is commemorating the victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany in 1945. It is first inaugurated in the 15 republics of the Soviet Union following the signing of the German Instrument of Surrender late in the evening on May 8, 1945.
