Protest of workers belonging to the Auchan/Conad group in Piazza della Scala in Milan, Italy, on December 07 2019. A bitter Christmas for just over 6,000 workers belonging to the Auchan/Conad group who, instead of finding a salary increase under the tree, found themselves out of work. The protest for the redundancies had already been announced in recent days and as the calendar has taken place today in Piazza della Scala, armoured on the occasion of the First. Trade unions and social centres have met in the place par excellence of the Milanese bourgeoisie, now gathered between designer clothes, some fur and luxury for the usual opening appointment of the Milanese theatre season. The police, alerted in recent days by the press releases and the number tam tam on the Internet, has not been caught unprepared and through a capillary system of surveillance has managed to contain the protests.
