Flowers on a Prairie Smoke (Geum triflorum) plant are growing in Markham, Ontario, Canada, on June 14, 2025. Prairie Smoke (also known as Old Man's Whiskers) is blooming in late spring to early summer with clusters of nodding, pinkish-red flowers. Wispy, feathery seed heads are replacing the flowers, changing from pink to golden as the seeds mature and dry.
