UK car and commercial vehicle production declined by 32.8% in May, totaling 49,810 units, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) reported on Friday. This marks the fifth consecutive monthly decrease. Excluding the pandemic-affected year of 2020, it was the weakest May performance since 1949.
