Palestinian Volunteers Guard Aid Trucks Amid Famine Threat in Northern Gaza

Volunteers from Palestinian families are organizing in committees to prevent theft and guard trucks carrying aid, which are entering the Gaza Strip from the Israeli-controlled Zikim crossing, west of Beit Lahia in the north of the besieged Palestinian territory on June 25, 2025. Rights groups say Gaza and its population of more than two million are facing famine-like conditions due to Israeli restrictions, with near-daily deaths of people queuing for food aid.
