Volunteers from Palestinian families are organizing in committees to prevent theft and guard trucks carrying aid as they enter the Gaza Strip from the Israeli-controlled Zikim crossing, west of Beit Lahia in the north of the besieged Palestinian territory on June 25, 2025. Rights groups are saying Gaza and its population of more than two million are facing famine-like conditions due to Israeli restrictions, with near-daily deaths of people queuing for food aid.
