Supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are taking out a protest rally in Kolkata, India, on July 2, 2025, against the heinous gang rape case that happened at a law college in Kolkata, demanding swift action against the rapists and the resignation of the current chief minister of the state on grounds of failing to provide protection to women in West Bengal. A law student is being raped by three accused on the evening of June 25, among whom the main accused are evidently leaders of the college student union, which is governed by the Trinamool Congress student union, the student wing of the ruling party of the state, according to reports.
