A family of white storks has taken up residence atop a power pole in the small village of Dubicze Cerkiewne in eastern Poland. The nest, perched high above the ground, was spotted on July 8, 2025 and contains at least one adult stork and three chicks. White storks are a protected species in Poland. The country is home to roughly a quarter of the global population of the strokes, where thousands of them migrate from Africa each spring to breed.
