The vineyards in the Penedes region are appearing green and healthy for the first time since 2020. After a long drought, the spring rains are reversing the negative trend that had severely affected one of Catalonia's most important wine-producing regions. This period of drought has been damaging the vines to the point of death or abandonment by their owners. A large harvest is not expected this year, but expectations are positive, as evidenced by the vineyards of Sant Sadurni Anoia in Barcelona, Spain, on July 9, 2025.
