A baby Indian Bronzeback Tree Snake (Dendrelaphis Tristis) is coiling around an electric earthing wire, sunbathing on a cool, rainy day. This slender snake is nearly indistinguishable from the wire, and it is being spotted in an urban area in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on July 15, 2025, the day before World Snake Day. Indian Bronzeback Tree Snakes are found throughout India and Southeast Asia. They are being beneficial to the environment as they help control populations of lizards, frogs, and small birds.
