A Round-headed Katydid Nymph is resembling a miniature adult, with a body shape that often mimics a leaf. Round-headed katydids are belonging to the subfamily Phaneropterinae, also known as false katydids, leaf katydids, or sickle-bearing bush crickets. These insects are characterized by their rounded heads, long antennae, and sword- or sickle-shaped ovipositors. They are typically found in gardens and woodlands, where they are feeding on foliage and sometimes flowers, playing a role in pollination, and serving as indicators of ecosystem health. A specimen is being observed in a forest in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on June 30, 2025.
