Bali traditional kite festival - 07/27/2025

Balinese people are flying kites during a traditional kite festival and competition at Mertasari Beach in Sanur, Bali, Indonesia, on July 27, 2025. Every mid-year, or during the windy season, Balinese Hindus, from children to young and old, are gathering on weekends to participate in traditional kite competitions, a traditional pastime in Balinese culture. Traditional kites are coming in the shapes of fish (Bebean), pecukan (leaf), and janggan, a dragon-headed kite with a long tail.
