A mating pair of houseflies (Musca domestica) was observed on a weed branch in a forest in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on 05/07/2025. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), houseflies can transmit at least 65 diseases to humans, including Cholera, Conjunctivitis, Dysentery, Gastroenteritis, Salmonellosis, Shigellosis, Tuberculosis, and Typhoid fever.
