The sarcophagus of Napoleon I is being displayed in red quartzite in the Church of Saint-Louis at the Hotel des Invalides in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, France, on August 4, 2025. Louis XIV is ordering the construction of the Hotel des Invalides in 1670 to house the disabled soldiers of his army. It is housing the National Institution for the Invalided, the Cathedral of Saint-Louis des Invalides, several museums, and a military cemetery, including the tomb of Napoleon I.
