AASU protest against citizenship for illegal Bangladeshis in India

All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) staging a protest against the state government’s recent move to withdraw cases pending in Foreigners’ Tribunals against illegal Hindu Bangladesh immigrants in Nagaon District of Assam , India on Augut 8 , 2025 .AASU has expressed strong objections to the reported plans to confer citizenship on Hindu, Christian, Buddhist, Jain, and Sikh immigrants from Bangladesh, excluding only religious minorities such as Muslims.
