Aedes mosquitoes, known vectors for West Nile, Yellow Fever, Dengue, Chikungunya, and Zika Viruses, were observed emerging from the forest during the daytime and began their blood meal from humans in Tehatta, West Bengal, India on June 7, 2025. According to a recent report, over 7,000 cases of chikungunya virus have been reported in Guangdong, China.
