Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated in Canada

Adorned idols of Lord Krishna, Radha, and Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman are being displayed for the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami at the Vishnu Mandir in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, on August 16, 2025. The Janmashtami festival is marking the birth of the Hindu god Lord Krishna. According to Hindu mythology, Krishna is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who is taking birth to kill the evil king Kansa and free the people of Mathura and other nearby towns from his cruelty.
