Eighteen people died after a bus fell into a river in Algiers


Civil protection and diving teams are conducting search and rescue operations after a passenger bus falls into the Oued El Harrach River in Algiers, Algeria, on August 15, 2025. At least 18 people are drowning, and nine others are being injured, the Algerian Civil Protection Service is reporting.
