Passersby take photographs of the a Mitoraj sculpture on display in central Warsaw, Poland on 05 September, 2025. Igor Mitoraj’s monumental bronze sculpture Tindaro has been placed at Warsaw’s Three Crosses Square ahead of its auction on September 16, 2025. The 4-meter, 2.6-ton work, created in 1997 and once displayed in Paris’s La Défense, reflects Mitoraj’s signature style of blending classical beauty with fragmentation to evoke memory and transience. With a starting price of 4 million PLN, it is expected to be the highlight of the Polswiss Art auction, alongside works by Magdalena Abakanowicz, Stefan Krygier, Victor Vasarely, and others.
