(FILE VIDEO) Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala announced that an agreement has been reached with Milan and Inter regarding sale of Giuseppe Meazza Stadium (San Siro). On september 17th is scheduled a resolution by the city council to formally authorize the sale. Works must be completed by 2013 because, according to UEFA, Milan might not be considered to host the 2032 European Championship if San Siro remains in its current state. Municipality of Milan will contribute €22 million to the cost, compared to the € 36 million estimated a few weeks ago, and sale price to Inter and Milan's ownership will drop from the €197 million estimated by the Revenue Agency to a total of about € 175 million. The € 14 million difference will be borne by the clubs and includes demolition costs. Video shows Giuseppe Meazza-San Siro during 2022.
