Monsoon rains in Pakistan

People are wading through heavy monsoon rains in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan, on August 31, 2025. Heavy rains and cloudbursts followed by flash floods in northern Pakistan are killing at least 300 people, while at least 150 are still missing, as authorities are still struggling to provide relief goods to the affected regions, according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
