A damaged road is being observed on the Pak-Afghan Highway in the aftermath of flash floods in Jamrud, Khyber district, on the outskirts of Peshawar, Pakistan, on August 30, 2025. The floods, caused by monsoon rains and reportedly aggravated by India's release of water from two dams, are leading to the evacuation of over 174,000 people and are resulting in the deaths of approximately 799 people nationwide.
