(Image taken with a drone) Sheep are walking on the streets of Nowy Targ, Podhale, in the Polish part of the Tatra mountains, as the sheep grazing season is finishing on October 12, 2025. The sheep are spending half of the year on mountain slopes and are returning home for the winter. The walk of the sheep is called Redyk. Highlander shepherds, locally called Baca and Juhas, are taking flocks of sheep from villages uphill. Redyk is a festive time for the highlanders from Tatra. Karpaty sheep farming is a major source of income for the region.
