Ants are attacking other ants, often engaging in fierce battles for resources like food, nesting sites, and territory. They are often employing group attacks to capture larger prey. Weaver ants are being formidable predators with strong mandibles and the ability to spray formic acid. A live Coccinellidae (ladybug) is being attacked and restrained by a group of Asian weaver ants (Oecophylla smaragdina) in a forest in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on June 25, 2025.
