A herd of wild elephant seen feeds in a paddy field at Ronghang-Hatikhuli, a Karbi (tribe) village in central Assam’s Nagaon district of Assam ,India on Nov 17 , 2025 .Local villagers have cultivated around 200 bighas of peddy for the elephants as part of efforts supported by Hati organisation working since 2017 to reduce human-elephant conflict in the region.
