Scientists Dr. Tania Mukherjee and Dr. Ambarish Paul are developing a robot called The MedBot in their laboratory, the first of its kind in Eastern India, in Kolkata, India, on December 10, 2025. The MedBot is designed to help identify health risks in communities vulnerable to chronic diseases, supporting early detection and the prevention of non-communicable diseases. The robot is checking blood sugar without the use of needles, counting the heart rate, measuring oxygen levels, and monitoring blood pressure.
