A huge herd of more than 100 wild elephants is creating havoc in villages surrounding forest areas in Barhampur village of Nagaon district in Assam, India, on December 24, 2025. The herd is continuously raiding villages and cultivation lands in search of food, destroying ripe paddy and pumpkins ready for harvest. Helpless villagers are watching their toil go to waste as the elephants destroy the cultivation lands.
