2000 year archeological site preserved inside a hotel in Antakya

The Necmi̇ Asfuroglu Archaeology Museum is an ancient archaeological site preserved within a hotel in Antakya, Turkey. During the construction of the hotel, archaeologists discover what may be one of the world's largest intact tile mosaic floors, spanning over 9,000 square feet, alongside building remains dating back approximately 2,300 years. The floor features nine adjacent panels decorated with diverse geometric patterns in various colors, with the largest mosaic believed to have belonged to a 6th-century public building, possibly a governmental structure, according to expert Pamir.
