The Chalet of Catllaras, one of Antoni Gaudi lesser-known works

One of Antoni Gaudi lesser-known works is the Chalet of Catllaras. Located in the Catalan municipality of La Pobla de Lillet, it was built between 1901 and 1903 to house the engineers of the local coal mines. The building was later converted into a holiday camp and then abandoned for quite some time. During the restoration work, and amid rumors that it had been designed by Gaudi, various studies were carried out until, in February 2026, it was certified that the work belonged to the Catalan modernist architect. Currently, the Chalet of Catllaras is almost completely renovated, and different uses are being considered, coinciding with the Gaudi Year being celebrated in Barcelona as a tribute to the centenary of his death, in Pobla de Lillet, Spain, on April 27, 2026.
