The Tepecik Tenekeli neighborhood, known as a "tough" or "dangerous" area, transformed into a space of peace and unity for the Hıdırellez festival. Hıdırellez is a traditional spring festival celebrated on May 5–6 across Turkey and parts of Central Asia/Balkans, marking the arrival of spring, nature's renewal. The festival brought the local Romani community and outside visitors together in a shared spirit of joy. The streets were filled with Romani music and long tables full of traditional local foods.
