Flying false vampire bats feed on winged termites in the evening outside a home in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on January 30, 2026. They are sometimes joined by nightjar birds, black drongos, and owls, which also prey on the termites. When termites are drawn into houses by light sources, the bats fly indoors to catch them.
