Tens of thousands walk the Benjamin Franklin Bridge over the Delaware River between New Jersey and Pennsylvania on July 11, 2026, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the historic suspension bridge. Spanning 1,750 feet between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Camden, New Jersey, the bridge was completely halted to vehicular traffic for the event. First opened in 1926 for the Sesquicentennial International Exposition, the bridge serves as an enduring symbol of regional unity, public infrastructure, and shared civic space.
