A loose feather from a Greater Coucal, also known as the crow pheasant or Bharadwaj bird (Centropus sinensis), drifts on the wind and gets stuck in the sticky silk of a spider web in front of an abandoned house during sunrise in a forest in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on February 20, 2026. Spider silk is incredibly strong for its weight. The bird's distinctive deep chestnut or rufous-brown feathers appear to float in the air. The Greater Coucal is widely regarded as a good luck omen in many parts of India and Southeast Asia.
