Marae Anini, an ancient Polynesian ceremonial site built from massive blocks of coral along the shoreline, is situated directly beside Anini Beach in the village of Parea on the southern tip of Huahine Iti in French Polynesia, on May 13, 2026. The site offers calm, reef-protected waters and served as a community marae (sacred temple) dedicated to traditional deities, including 'Oro (the god of war) and Hiro (the god of thieves and sailors).
