An NYPD vehicle is parked at the scene and blood is seen on the ground where 15-year-old Jihad Pack was killed and a 57-year-old man was injured in a shooting at 40 West 115 Street in Manhattan, New York, United States, on October 7, 2026. At approximately 6:21 pm, police received a ShotSpotter activation at King Towers within the confines of the 28 Precinct/Public Service Area 5 and found a 15-year-old boy identified as Jihad Pack with a gunshot wound to the stomach, he was transported by EMS to Mount Siani Morningside where he was pronounced dead. A 57-year-old man was discovered with a gunshot wound to the right hand and transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition. A person of interest was taken into custody at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
