Meeras Mahal, the Kashmir Valley’s first private ethnographic heritage museum, is located in Highland Colony in Sopore, Jammu and Kashmir. The name translates to "Palace of Heritage," and the museum serves as a "frozen history" dedicated to preserving the vanishing material culture and everyday rural lifestyle of Kashmir from the 18th to the 20th centuries.
