A master watchmaker, who has practiced his profession for nearly 60 years, repairs a vintage watch at his mobile wooden street stand in the historic Basmane district. Having learned the trade from his father as a primary school apprentice, he traveled the world practicing his craft before returning to his roots in Turkey. The artisan meticulously works on a watch mechanism using a magnifying loupe and tweezers, operating just outside the building where his brother sells second-hand antique watches in Konak, Izmir, Turkey, on October 14, 2026.
