The October full moon, or the Full Hunter's Moon, rises near the eastern horizon around sunset. As the evening deepens, the moon gradually changes color and glows brighter—peeking through the bamboo leaves, hovering above the bamboo grove, and at times appearing amidst a tangled web of urban electric wires at Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on October 25, 2026. The October full moon is known as the Full Hunter's Moon because it appears around the time when hunters can easily gather and store food for the winter after the fields have been harvested by farmers.
