On Friday evening, October 30, 2026, at 8:16 p.m., Katie Suarez was attacked, then taken to NYU-Langone Brooklyn originally listed in critical condition and died days later from her injuries. No arrests have been made. Throughout the day on Wednesday, police used metal detectors and other gear as they combed the scene of the attack. The NYPD is offering a 10,000 dollar reward for any information.
