The nine stored historical monument was completely destroyed during the earthquake of 2015. The new Dharahara which is being constructed in the same architectural style as the old one has larger diameter and will be 72 meters tall and 22 storeys upon its completion. It'll have two elevators, a garden, museum, colorful fountain, exhibition hall, parking lot and shops on its premises. The estimated cost for the project is 3.48 billion.
